Jesus is the only One Who can give life. Man may be able to reproduce a human body, but they will never be able to breath life into it because Jesus is the only Life. The everlasting Life. The fountain of Life. The way, the truth, the Life. The only way to live a full and enjoyable Life and feel your cup overflowing with blessing every day.

“You’ve undoubtedly experienced the feeling of thirst: it’s a slight itch in the back of your throat, a distracting urge to turn away from whatever you’re doing and find something to drink. It drives you to guzzle water on hot days and to drink something along with your meals. Our need for water is as omnipresent and critical as our need for food or oxygen–it’s an essential cog that keeps our bodies working normally. “ – Michelle Frank, “The Neuroscience of Thirst”

This morning I was meditating on the psalm As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so my soul thirsts for Thee, O God. Thirst can be all-consuming, especially when someone is dehydrated, or worse, dying of thirst. I was thinking of that in relation to my spiritual passion. I want my thirst for my God to be all-consuming, as though I will die without this one Life-giving Element. Recently I have also been meditating on how Jesus is The Life. That’s what my last few posts were about. We can neither have human life nor spiritual life without Him. He is this Living Water we absolutely must have, like we need water to live. The verse that came to me today was “He that hath the Son hath life.” In the past the Son and Life had been two separate things in my mind. But they are one, as the verse says. I want my thirst for this Living Water to consume me and drive me to Him with a passion that surpasses my desire for anything else. Like the quote said, “a distracting urge to turn away from whatever you’re doing and find something to drink.” I want to drink of this Well that I may never thirst again. Any other desire will leave me thirsty, like those sugary drinks that may hydrate but leave one thirsty in the end like this article said further on. I don’t want the poison that will leave me wanting. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He is my Portion. He is truly the water that satisfies
